Shots from the very rare times I get time to wander around the city with my camera.

andrewlusk > They let us out on the balcony at Pac-Med; I had just got the D300 and was interested in what it could do with the colors totally cranked. This is even more so exaggerated because it's an HDR merge of a few exposures to capture all the sky and shadow detail.
andrewlusk > Not HDR like the last one, but shows what the color settings on the D300 can do to a sunset. Plus 80mm is basically the only sharp setting on my 80-400 zoom, so I like this one too.
andrewlusk > Obligatory shot from my new apartment of my space needle view. Tried to boost the colors to make the sky look a little crazier, but since this was before I discovered Lightroom and stopped using NX, it didn't come out as well as I had envisioned.
andrewlusk > The background looks really weird on this one.
andrewlusk > I don't have a clue what this little sea-urchin thing is. It's about an inch and a half across and was just sitting on top of the post.
andrewlusk > On the D3 my 50mm feels practically like a wide-angle. Wouldn't have been able to get this shot on the D300.
andrewlusk > Although this looks highly post-processed, this is about what the picture looked like right out of camera. The lens was wide open which produces the darkened corners on the D3; plus I had the white balance set pretty warm. Also trying to experiment with landscape shots in which infinity is *not* in focus. I think it worked here.
andrewlusk > Seems almost a little too 'artsy'. Out of camera it was 2/3rds black since I had to underexpose so much to get the sky detail, but images from the D3 seem to hold up amazingly well to massive adjustments.
andrewlusk > Ok, good to convince myself I can still take a D300 grab shot and enjoy it.
