andrewlusk  > Travel > Earl Peak
These are from when the gang all went up to Earl Peak and camped near the summit. It was my first ever backpacking trip, and was a lot of fun. I took my (increasingly heavy as we walked) D200 and 17-55 f/2.8 lens. I also rented the 12-24 wide angle but didn't use it much as switching lenses was too much of a pain.

"I wanted a little of that swagger that comes with being able to gaze at a far horizon through eyes of chipped granite and say with a slow, manly sniff, 'Yeah, I've shit in the woods.'" --Bill Bryson, "A Walk in the Woods"
